2023: Atiku’s wife warns Bauchi women against vote selling

By Charly Agwam – Bauchi

Wife of the former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Princess Rukayya Atiku Abubakar has cautioned women against selling their votes ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Rukkaya was speaking at the Northeast Women’s Town Hall meeting in Bauchi on Tuesday where she called on women to vote for her husband and other candidates of the PDP.

She advocated for the participation of women in politics, saying that it will encourage inclusion and help to improve their standard of living.

“I beg you in the name of God, don’t give your vote to any one for whatever amount. Shun moneybag politicians who will be coming to buy your votes with N2,000 or N3,000. You can’t afford to delve into another hardship, please don’t be deceived,” she said.

While thanking Governor Bala Mohammed and his wife for hosting the event, Mrs. Atiku expressed appreciation for the massive turn out of women at the venue.

Reacting, wife of Bauchi state governor,  Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed urged the PDP women in the region to vote for God-fearing leaders in the forthcoming general elections.

According to her, Nigeria is going to bounce back and record more development and economic growth when the right people are voted into leadership positions.
