2023: Bauchi governor gets support of Tafawa Balewa ethnic groups for second term

Leaders of ethnic groups, Lerawa, Sayawa and Fulani in Lere North of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State have pledged their full support for the reelection of Governor Bala Mohammed.

In a statement shared on Monday by the coordinator of the groups, Andarawu Zuya, leaders and stakeholders of the various groups in the area made the endorsement at a town hall meeting held on Sunday in Bulli community.

The resolved to also support all the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in the state in the 2023 general election.

The stakeholders also used the forum to appeal to Governor Bala Mohammed to consider the construction of Lere-Buli-DuklinBauchi-Aruti road that links several communities to Lere town.

“The various speakers reiterated their total and unalloyed support of the people of Lere in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area to the PDP led administration in the country,” Zuya said.

“His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Kauran Bauchi, has done well in three and half years what others could not do in eight years.”

He promised that the coordinators would mobilise the people of Lere North to ensure that APC get zero votes in the forthcoming general election.

According to the statement, the meeting was attended by Honourable Samuel J.Haruna, the Executive Secretary of the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, PDP officials, leaders of thought, captains of industry, academia, entrepreneurs, youths and members drawn from every strata of the society.
