Oshimili North Youths Purchase Nomination Form As Ekitu Promises Improved Representation

It was all joy on Thursday as a group of Oshimili North youths under the aegis of ‘Oshimili North Youths For Ekitu’ presented the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) nomination and expression of interest forms to Chief Ekitu Kenneth Agbomah to contest the Oshimili North House of Assembly seat in the 2023 general elections.

 

Presenting the forms to Chief Ekitu at the PDP National Headquarters, Abuja, leader of the group, Onyema Ogijo said the group has ultimate trust in the ability of Hon. Ekitu to reposition Oshimili North constituency on the path to prosperity.

 

According to Ogijo, Chief Ekitu has shown through his philanthropic works over the years, that he is a man of the people who yearns for the prosperity of Oshimili North constituency.

“We have seen your good work and we believe when given the opportunity to represent us, you will not fail your constituency. That’s why we have tasked ourselves to purchase these forms for you to represent us at the Delta State House of Assembly next year.

 

“We assure you that we will do our best to garner enough support to actualize this vision. We hope that you will accept this our noble effort and use the opportunity to better the lots of our people who are yearning for your service to represent us,” he said.

 

In his response, Chief Ekitu promised a result-oriented representation while also calling on the people of Oshimili North to remain united to address the litany of challenges facing the constituency.

 

His words: “I appreciate the gesture of love you have shown today, I assure you that if given the opportunity to serve Oshimili North at the Delta State House of Assembly next year, I will do my very best to bring the needed development to our constituency.

 

“However, we must be united in the struggle to address our challenges. That’s why we will need everybody on board to ensure that we succeed next year. This is as much my fight as it is yours, and it is a fight we must win.”
