
Atiku wins PDP presidential primaries, extends olive branch to fellow aspirants

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has won the PDP presidential primaries held in Abuja after scoring 371 out of 767 votes cast. He has pledged to make security and the cohesion of Nigerians his topmost precedence when elected President come 2023.
He appealed to individuals of the the Peoples Democratic Party to come together, and Nigerians who have positioned their hopes on the PDP.
Atiku stated this in his acceptance speech quickly after he was duly elected presidential candidate of the PDP.
He said, “Today history has been made. The History which we believe will deliver about crucial changes in our electoral system. Today, we witnessed one of the freest election in the records of our exceptional party.

Nyesom Wike- 237, Bukola Saraki- 7 and 0 votes, Bala Mohammed- 20 votes, Udom Emmanuel- 38 votes, Pius Anyim -14 votes, Sam Ohuabunwa 1 vote, Aspirant Diana Oliver -1 vote. There were 12 invalid votes.
