By Charly Agwam – Bauchi

The immediate past Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer for Bauchi governorship election has said that insecurity must be viewed from a broader perspective to return peace to the nation.

The former Air Chief who was speaking to correspondents in Bauchi on during the weekend, noted that insecurity has become a problem because focus is on the physical aspect of tackling insecurity, which he said is military combat.

He stated that for sustainable security to be achieved, all four aspects of security must be looked at; physical, social, economic and political security.

Although he said that federal government is trying in the area of empowerment, he however, lamented that that most state governments are not contributing their quota towards empowering their people.

He further decried the high number of out-of-school children which he put at 1.4 million while assuring that if he becomes governor of Bauchi State, he will address problems in education, health and other sectors.
