2023 Elections: Peter Obi appeals to supporters to shun attacks on other presidential candidates

Peter Obi has on his Twitter handle appealed to his supporters to avoid attacking other presidential aspirants and their respective parties on earlier today.

The 2023 elections is eminent and generating heat overall the country. Therefore the need for Peter Obi’s appeal to supporters was deemed timely and selfless by reactions following the thread.

Peter Obi’s appeal to supporters goes as follows:

It has been brought to my attention, and I have also observed that some of my numerous supporters are making personal attacks on other aspirants/candidates.

Whilst thanking you for your support, which I sincerely value and appreciate, I humbly appeal that we all imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship and avoid name-calling or personal attacks on other aspirants and candidates.

The common goal is to make Nigeria better. Elections are a democratic contest and need not be adversarial.

@PeterObi if they attack you, we will attack them period, if you romance them from now till tomorrow, they will never like you, so we don’t owe anyone loyalty, we will match them energy to energy.
