The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Bauchi State is conducting its second governorship primary election tomorrow, Saturday following the withdrawal of the former governorship candidate, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim.

Barrister Kashim withdrew his candidature few days after he was elected as the flagbearer of the party at the first governorship primaries conducted about a week ago.

His withdrawal came on the heels of Bala Mohammed’s defeat at the 2023 PDP presidential primaries in Abuja who he was reportedly holding the ticket in trust for.

The spokesperson of the PDP in Bauchi, Alhaji Yayanuwa Zainabari said that the second governorship primaries of the party will hold at Zaranda Hotel and Tours Bauchi by 12 pm tomorrow.

He said all arrangements for the primaries have been completed to ensure a hitch-free exercise.

Barrister Kashim was reappointed yesterday by Bala Mohammed as the Secretary to the Bauchi State Government barely 48hrs after he announced the withdrawal from contesting the general election.
