
Tafawa Balewa group apologize to governor, Bauchi, Dass emirs over attack on convoys

The leadership of Zaar Development Association (ZDA) has apologized to the Emirs of Bauchi and Dass over the attack on their convoys by hoodlums while on the way to Bogoro to attend the 21st memorial anniversary of late Baba Gonto last week Friday.
The ZDA also apologized to Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed and other functionaries for the embarrassment caused by the incidence stating that it was caused by disgruntled elements in the area.
Speaking with journalists in Bauchi on Wednesday, the Association, through its president, Isuwa Galla said that the houses of two of the surviving children of their late leader was razed down, adding that one of the sons who was beaten to pulp is presently receiving treatment in a hospital in Jos.
The president of the association expressed sadness at the failure of the programme, saying that the violence was unfortunate and a setback to the development of Sayawa nation whole also calling on the Police to investigate and bring out the truth.
“We want to use this medium to profusely apologize to the Governor of Bauchi State, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, Emir of Dass, Alh Usman Bilyaminu Othman, the entourages of their Royal Highnesses, Representative of the Governor, the government and people of Bauchi State and the celebrated Gospel singer, Dr Panam Percy Paul who was the guest artist, whose instrument and that of others were burnt to ashes.
“For every person who is aggrieved by the incident of 30th and 31st December, 2021, we are very sorry. Please, get soothed.
“We further support whatever step government will take in order to identify both the remote and immediate perpetrators of this dastardly act,” he said.
