Yaya Bauchi, a federal lawmaker from Gombe, and 11,000 others have abandoned the APC.

Honourable Yaya Bauchi, a member of the federal house of representatives for the Gombe, Kwami, and Funakaye local governments seat, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The congressman cited the party's internal instability as a cause for his resignation in a letter submitted to the party in December 2021, a copy of which was leaked Tuesday.
He also accused the party's leadership of excluding founding members, including himself, from recent congresses, lamenting that the party's machinery had been taken away from them with no end in sight.
