Items suspected to have been either smuggled or improperly imported into NIgeria through its land borders with total Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N320,305,521.78m have been seized by the NIgeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone B with its headquarters in Kaduna in 84 seizures
Disclosing this while briefing newsmen at his office on Friday, Comptroller Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone B A.B. Hamisu explained that the seizures within the zone were done within a month.
He explained that they include 1,214 bags of foreign imported rice worth N43,463,179.
