Why Godwin Emiefele must be sacked

According to a worried Nigerian, removing CBN Gov is the answer to the devaluation of the naira.

A Nigerian labelled Mr. Godwin Emiefele, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), as a failure who has utterly failed Nigerians in his capacity as the country’s economic engine.

Mallam Abdulkareem Mujijitafa, a concerned Nigerian who is concerned about the ongoing depreciation of the naira against the dollar, claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari should fire Emiefele in order to revive Nigeria’s faltering economy.

Speaking on Why Godwin Emiefele must be sacked;

He claims that since Godwin was chosen to lead the Apex Bank, nothing significant has improved the nation’s expanding economy.

He was concerned that the Dollar was weakening the Naira every day and that the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria was doing little to help.

Economist Abdulkareem slammed the latest nomination of CBN board members to the Senate for Buhari’s confirmation.

He claimed that the board is not necessary because the governor is not committed to addressing the nation’s dire economic situation.

He charged Godwin with politicising the position by engaging in political activity rather than focusing on improving the nation’s economy.

“This issue was not present when Professor Charles Soludu and Muhammadu Sanusi were in charge. The Naira is heavier than the Euro today, whereas the dollar is empty and weak.

“Since many African nations, including Cameroon, Benin Republic, Rwanda, Chad, Niger, and Burkina Faso, looked to Nigeria for economic leadership, the Naira is now less valuable.

“In my opinion, President Muhammadu Buhari should be held accountable for the problems this nation is currently experiencing. Why, sir, are you creating a future that will judge now and in the future? Sir Godwin can’t work as well as other Nigerians who are considerably more capable.

Save our Naira, Abdulkareem pleaded, adding that Godwin’s dismissal should not be considered as he has repeatedly failed to prevent the Naira from falling below the value of a dollar.

Nigerians are unhappy with Godwin’s leadership style at the Central Bank of Nigeria, thus he urged Godwin to retire honourably and depart with dignity.

While speaking with this platform over the phone, Abdulkareem promised to organise a protest demanding that Godwin be fired after three weeks.
